What a great day! Students worked again on the trail along the river clearing more honeysuckle and other overgrowth. Before lunch, the mayor of Lafayette stopped by to meet our group and thank them for all of the hard work they've done to help beautify a part of the city that helps so many people access the outdoors and fitness experiences.
After lunch, the group worked to cut vegetation from a park that will be used to feed animals at the local zoo.
We had a quick dinner before heading out to a baseball game! The local team is the Lafayette Aviators. The team is made up primarily of college players from across the country. Students created the welcome tunnel for the players as they were announced to come onto the field before the game, then they also participated in many of the games and other activities between innings.
Our evening ended with a terrific devotion time, song, prayer and silence.
Everyone is eager for our last work day tomorrow and more fun!
